Never have I been more exhausted.

Domestic Tranquility

This morning I woke up to the sound of a whimpering baby - not across the hall in his crib, but nearby, as in, next to me in my bed. In my sleepy mind I thought wait, I just fed you, you should still be sleeping...I opened one eye and there was G snuggling with JW. I asked him if the baby was being fussy. G said no, he {G} just wanted to snuggle. New dad syndrome - just wants to love on the little one so much he'll pull him out of his slumber to do so. So sweet and so easy to do when you've had a full night's sleep.

Grandpa G, while staying with us this past week, said, "The key to domestic tranquility is to let sleeping babies lie."
Amen.

Sleepy

Sometimes JW gets confused about when he's supposed to sleep. He likes to sleep all day, and stay up all night. It's a little rough on mama. Especially when he pees on himself in the middle of the night and I have to change his entire wardrobe which is one of his least favorite activities. So we like to snuggle and nap during the day to make up for the long nights. All is forgiven.

Bright Eyes

This is just after my first bath. I didn't like it one bit, but I sure was cute afterwards. My mama says I'm a sweet baby. I would have to agree :)

Merry Christmas

Best Christmas ever.

Joy to the World

My name is JW. I came into this world on December 20, 2009. I weighed 7lbs, 2oz and was 21 inches long. My mom thinks I'm perfect.

I was a fairly easy delivery for my mom. Dad warned that he might get a little woozy with the whole delivery thing. I think he might have had to take a time out on the bench with his head between his legs. This is my first bath. I didn't really love it, but I sure smelled yummy when I was done. I was so cute as a stocking stuffer, I had all the nurses asking for my number. My Grandma Nay and Grandpa Randy came by for a visit. Grandpa Ted and Grandma Kathy also stopped by, along with my mama's friend HJ. My aunts and uncles were all sick, so mama told them to stay home.

Grandma Nay and Grandpa Randy

Finally I get to go home from the hospital. My hat was a little large for my head. If I had any say, I would have made my mom take it off. It reminded me of a picture of my dad when he was playing Dopey in the family play of Snow White and Seven Dwarfs.
